"One Christmas while our home was undergoing restoration, we decided to escape and celebrate Christmas at a special place we call "The Cottage".
The most important decorations came with us, along with of course the entire manger scene! In spite of being away from home, we were determined to make this experience a memorable one!
It wasn't until Christmas cards began to arrive with "tidings of comfort and joy" that all seemed well with our souls. Each and every card or newsletter is like sharing a brief visit. Nothing puts one into the spirit of writing Christmas cards like the joy of receiving one!
So..... with a warmth that rivaled the burning embers of our fire, the girls became very busy filling cards with glad tidings, special sentiments and great heralding of Christ's birth,..... making Christmas at the cottage a memory to live on in a painting." - Trisha Romance

"As the sun set on our conservatory garden, it seemed to gild the last days of summer with a warmth that truly defied the coming of winter. Even as I sketched this scene under the whispering pines, all creatures great and small came out for a visit. I felt a profound adoration for that golden moment. Blessed summer - could this be my favorite season after all? I soon concluded that is was - for now! Until a blanket of snow covers our farm, until sweet smoke curls from our chimney and the sound of jingle bells echo from our pony's sleigh. Until then, I am perfectly content believing once again, "to everything there is a season.""
