BOBBY ORR Signed By: Bobby Orr
There are a couple of nicknames Bobby Orr has gone by throughout his career: “Bobby” and “Number 4”. The latter nickname references the number Orr wore while with the Bruins, and it shows how outstanding a career he had when his nickname is his number. Orr was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame on September 12th, 1979, his number was officially retired by the Bruins 8 months earlier on January 9th, 1979. While Orr retired at the young age of 30 due to knee injuries, he had several memorable moments in his Bruins career. Some of Orr’s most notable moments with Boston include his “Flying Goal” (his clinching goal of the 1970 Stanley Cup Finals), his game winning goal in Game 6 of the 1972 Stanley Cup Finals, and his 8 consecutive Norris Trophies. This image is autographed and inscribed “Number 4” by Bobby Orr. Orr’s signature and inscription were witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process. This item is limited to 40.
