"This painting is a result of a few hours of interesting
field work I have done in a wonderful game-farm in Florida,
" explains artist Carl Brenders. "Five cougar cubs were playing. My mind
was filled with impressions. Later I could take them in my arms, as if they
were housekittens; an experience I found especially important to feel the
spirit of these wonderfullittle creatures. The light and the texture of the
dead wood in the backgroundenhances the charm of this painting
and clearly shows how well
they are camouflaged. When the cubs will be adults,
they will take care of the balance
in nature, which we very
much do disturb."
