At the inaugural NHL 4 Nations Faceoff, Connor McDavid showed why he is considered one of the best
hockey players on the planet. As one of Canada’s top point producers throughout the tournament with
five points in four games, McDavid led Canada to a special championship. The championship game
versus the United States created many headlines and endless drama. The game was a close battle
from puck drop and ultimately required sudden-death overtime to crown a champion. Just over
eight minutes into OT, McDavid received a perfect pass in front of the net and buried it in the
top right corner. This moment showcased internationally why McDavid’s excellence is so special.
The greatest players show up in the biggest moments.
