Drafted as the first overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft, Connor McDavid had massive expectations placed on his shoulders once he became a member of the Edmonton Oilers organization. McDavid delivered quickly as he led the NHL in points (100), was named an All-Star, and earned the Hart Trophy in just his second NHL season. McDavid’s time in the NHL since has included many more All-Star selections, Hart Trophies, and numerous other honors. Additionally, McDavid was named the captain of the Edmonton Oilers ahead of the 2016-17 season, becoming the youngest captain in NHL history and later the longest-serving captain in Edmonton Oilers history.
