Connor McDavid was drafted first overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers. It did not take long for the young center to make a difference on his new team. In his first full season without injury, McDavid finished with 30 goals, 70 assists and 100 points. On October 5, 2016, the Oilers named McDavid captain and he continues to show his leadership skills while wearing the C patch.
