At the age of 23, Michael Jordan introduced the Air Jordan 2s.
He reached new heights in his game while wearing these shoes, a
s demonstrated by his legendary 50-point game against the New
York Knicks in the season opener, which broke the record for
the most points scored by an opposing player at Madison Square
Garden. During that season, Jordan achieved a career-best
average of 37.1 points per game, making history as the first NBA
player to achieve 200 steals and 100 blocks in a single season.
While wearing the Air Jordan 2s, Jordan became an NBA All-Star,
joined the All-NBA First Team, and won the Slam Dunk Contest in
Seattle with his iconic foul-line dunk. The original Air Jordan 2 from 1
987 was manufactured in Italy and is considered to be the first
“Luxury” basketball sneaker. The Air Jordan 2 “Italy” was retroed
and released in 2023 as a colorway inspired by its Italian-made roots.

This pair is autographed and limited to 23 and comes in the original box.
Jordan has autographed these limited edition (23) Nike Air Jordan
2 Italy Retro shoes in black paint pen. His signature is deemed
authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
