" The nice thing about winter in the Rockies is that the sun rises way later than in the summer.
Still, an early start was in order for this scene, and I rose at 4 a.m. to get on the road. After driving
for a couple of hours I still needed to hike in the dark (with a headlamp to light the way) through a forest
and snowshoe across a frozen lake to get here.
All worth it when you’re met with a view like this. "
