Dermot O'Kane - Spirit Island - Maligne Lake

"Spirit Island is found in Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park, Alberta. It is accessible only by
boat . A six-hour canoe paddle on its mirror-calm waters brought us to Fisherman’s Bay
campsite where we set up camp for two days. Rising before dawn the next morning we
paddled one kilometer in the near dark to reach this viewpoint of Spirit Island. I set up
my camera on the shore and as the sun slowly lit up the peaks in the background I
captured this view of one of the icons of the Canadian Rockies."
