Toward the end of 2012, Tiger Woods surpassed the $100 million
mark in career earnings. Heading into the third decade of the 2000s,
he is far and away the career leader in that category. At the end of the 2018
season, Woods was still the only golfer in the $100 million range. What is more incredible
is that at that time on the career earnings list, his 80 PGA Tour wins were more than the second
(Phil Mickelson, 44) and third-place (Vijay Singh, 34) golfers combined. He captured his 80th
win with a dramatic two-stroke win over Billy Horschel at the Tour Championship
at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. He shot a blistering 65 in the first round
and followed that up with a 68 and 65 before he notched another legendary
Tiger Sunday with a 71 to finish the tournament with a 269. The win
put him two behind Sam Snead on the all-time list. Woods
